“That resistance to diversity, though, is not something we want to emulate, which is why I’m glad the mosque was approved on Tuesday. Countries that choke themselves off from exposure to different cultures, faiths and ideas will never invent the next Google or a cancer cure, let alone export a musical or body of literature that would bring enjoyment to children everywhere.”

Gives a New Meaning to Craving

I love this display in the Duane Reade on 71st Continental. Emergency Chocolate! Now, is this just for that desperate craving or should we stock up on it for that overdue hurricane?

NY Falafel Bar – Part 2

August 4, 2010 1 comment

Had a falafel from NY Falafel Bar today for lunch. It was even better than I remember the last one being, the one I reviewed several weeks ago. I don’t know if they changed the recipe, but I would rate this one of the best falafels I have eaten in New York City, and I am not exaggerating. Personally, I prefer my falafel less spicy and the one’s NY Falafel Bar makes are not very spicy, and very nicely balanced by a large amount of delicious fillings and what seems to be freshly made pita.

I think it earns being added to my Recommended Restaurants page. Congratulations!
