Fascinating Tornado Footage

I hadn’t seen this lobby footage before… it’s pretty amazing. But you have to wait until the end to see the tornado hit. Notice the chandelier as it starts to shake as the tornado approaches. The doorman was certainly smart to get the hell out of there when he did!

That’s crazy! Do you know which building this was?

Hi Lisa, It is the first building located on the left-hand corner of the north side of Queens Blvd and Yellowstone Boulevard. It has a recessed Georgian Colonial entryway on Yellowstone Blvd. I had a talk with the doorman nearly a week ago, and he said the original overhead window that was cracked is being restored. It is alarming how the tornado moved 2 couches across the lobby. This video is one of the top videos documenting the tornado’s fury upon Forest Hills interiors. Thanks Drake for tracking it down!
